**IMB Columbus' very own "The Immortal" Matt Brown was on this season of Spike TV's THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER. Big congrats from your brothers at the IMB of Columbus. Your performance made us proud, 2-1 with two KOs and his only loss coming to eventual winner Amir Sadollah. Matt also just fought on the season finale of The Ultimate Fighter when he won by knocking out Matt Arroyo. That makes Matt 3-1 on altogether on TUF. Keep up the good work and good luck in the UFC. His next UFC fight has been announced, details to come.**

*CONGRATS by all of the Team Jorge Gurgel/IMB team members who competed in the Ohio Grappling Challenge on Saturday Aug. 2nd 2008. The IMB did very well having most of their grapplers win or place. Congrats to Dustin Ware on another smoothly ran tournament. This was the largest OGC yet with over 200 competitors. A list will be posted of division winners and grapplers who placed.

*On July 1st , IMB Columbus was featured on NBC 4 News at 11pm during sports in a report done by Jerrod Smalley. He was discussing the gym, MMA and Submission Grappling. It was a good segment, we hope to get a copy to put up on the website.

*We had 4 fighters compete on Friday June 27th on the NAAFS card here in Columbus. Team Jorge Gurgel/IMB did well winning 3 of the 4 fights. Tony Nowalk won by slick submission in 47 seconds of the 1st round. Tom Wilson won by a devastating KO in the 3rd round. Thad Schlister improved to 6-0 with a dominating first round TKO. Tony Jayme fought a very tough opponent and lost by decision. Thanks to everyone for their support and congrats to all of the fighters for showing their heart and determination.

*NEW WEEKDAY MMA TRAINING TIMES: Dustin Ware will be instructing on Tuesday & Thursday from 8:15pm-9:15pm, directly following the BJJ class. The class is filling up fast. See the BJJ class page or the MMA class page for more info. Friday MMA class is still going and is instructed by Tony Jayme.

* Weekday (daytime) Muay Thai and BJJ class has been added to the schedule on Mondays and Wednesdays. Assistant Instructors Sami and Tim will be handling that class. So if you can't make it to the evening classes, you now have no excuse not to train.

*Check out the Saturday morning Fighter Conditioning class. The class involves a hard cardio & pad work. It is an intense workout that will get your blood flowing and increase your overall conditioning. Sunday mornings is an open gym, use it to spar, get in shape or get some pointers from veterans.

*Shinguards, MMA Gloves, Boxing Gloves, BJJ Gis, Belts, Fight Shorts, team rashguards, KS Skin Cream, mouthpieces and other products are in the NEW lobby display case.
